How to Use
How to Use
- Wet the Stone
Run the tip of the stone under cool water for two seconds — just enough to slick the surface. Alternative: take it into the shower with you and use it before you towel off.
2. Glide 3–5 Times Per Side
Glide the wet stone across each clean underarm three to five times. You’re leaving a thin invisible mineral layer on the skin, not a coating — less is more.
3. Let Dry 30 Seconds
Wait roughly thirty seconds before clothes. Dries clear, leaves no residue.
4. Rinse and Store Dry
After use, rinse the stone briefly and set it somewhere it can air-dry. Stored wet, alum stones can weaken and crack. Stored dry, the same stone lasts a year or more.

Different Molecule from Antiperspirants
Alum vs Chlorhydrate
Aluminum chlorohydrate (Al₂Cl(OH)₅) is a small synthetic molecule designed to plug your sweat ducts. Potassium alum (KAl(SO₄)₂·12H₂O) is a large hydrated mineral double-salt that sits on the skin surface and inhibits odour-causing bacteria. Same element, different compound — the way table salt and lye both contain sodium. The alum molecule is physically too large to pass through intact skin; the FDA classifies potassium alum as Generally Recognized As Safe.

2,000+ Years of Continuous Use
Heritage
Pliny the Elder documented alum in his Naturalis Historia; Roman bathhouses kept it for skin and styptic use. The traditional barbershop has never stopped stocking the alum block. This isn’t a wellness fad — it’s the original deodorant, older than soap as we know it.
💧
Stops the Smell, Not the Sweat
Mechanism
Alum is mildly astringent and forms a thin mineral layer on skin that inhibits the bacteria that turn sweat into body odour. Your body still sweats and cools normally. If you’ve been told you need to plug your underarms to function in public, you don’t — you just need to stop the bacteria.

No White Marks, No Yellow Stains
Clothes-Safe
The yellow underarm stains on white shirts are a reaction between aluminum chlorohydrate and sweat. Without chlorohydrate, that reaction can’t happen. Alum dries clear; nothing chalks, nothing yellows.

One Stone, Year After Year
Lifespan
With a five-second daily application and a rinse-and-dry between uses, one 60g stone lasts twelve months or more — many buyers report two and three years from a single stone. No refill cycle, no plastic stick to throw away every six weeks.
